Sec. 7. Prohibition on Department of Labor allowing blanket waivers of overpayments

Upon the date of enactment, the Secretary of Labor shall be prohibited from issuing guidance that permits States to use blanket or issue categorical waivers of overpayment recovery in Federal pandemic unemployment compensation programs authorized under the CARES Act ( 15 U.S.C. 9021 et seq. ). The Secretary shall amend or rescind any guidance as necessary to conform with the prohibition in the preceding sentence.
