Sec. 803. Imposition of sanctions on officials of the Government of the People’s Republic of China relating to operations in Taiwan

Not later than 60 days after making an affirmative determination under section 802, the President shall, to the extent they can be identified, impose the sanctions described in section 808 with respect to each of the officials specified in subsection (b). The officials specified in this subsection are— the President of the People’s Republic of China; the Premier of the People’s Republic of China; the Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China; members of the CCP Politburo Standing Committee; members of the CCP Party Central Military Commission; members of the CCP Politburo; members of the CCP Central Committee; members of the CCP National Congress; members of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China; and members of the State Central Military Commission of the CCP.
Not later than 30 days after making an affirmative determination under section 802 and every 90 days thereafter, the President shall submit a list to the appropriate committees of Congress that identifies any foreign persons not specified in subsection
(b)who the President determines— are— senior officials of any branch of the armed forces of the People’s Republic of China leading any of the operations described in section 802; or senior officials of the Government of the People’s Republic of China, including any intelligence agencies or security services of the People’s Republic of China, who have significant roles in planning or implementing such operations; and with respect to which sanctions should be imposed in the interest of the national security of the United States. Upon the submission of each list required under paragraph (1), the President shall impose the sanctions described in section 808 with respect to each foreign person included on the list.
