Sec. 206. Comprehensive training program

The Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense, shall establish a comprehensive training program with the Government of Taiwan that is designed— to achieve interoperability; to familiarize the militaries of the United States and Taiwan with each other; and to improve Taiwan’s defense capabilities. The training program established pursuant to subsection
(a)shall include joint United States-Taiwan— contingency tabletop exercises; war games; and robust, operationally relevant, or full-scale military exercises. Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and annually thereafter for the following 10 years, the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense, shall submit a report to the appropriate committees of Congress that describes the establishment and implementation of the training program established pursuant to subsection (a).
