In this Act: The term appropriate committees of Congress means— the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Relations, and the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate; and the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives. The term military invasion includes— an amphibious landing or assault; an airborne operation or air assault; an aerial bombardment or blockade; missile attacks, including rockets, ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and hypersonic missiles; and a naval bombardment or blockade.
The term natural disaster means a disaster caused by natural forces, including extreme weather events, sea-level rise, or extreme drought conditions.
