Section 520K of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 290bb–42 ) is amended— in subsection (c)(2)— in subparagraph (D), by striking ; and and inserting a semicolon; by redesignating subparagraph
(E)as subparagraph (F); and by inserting after subparagraph
(D)the following: a description of how validated rating scales will be implemented to support the improvement of patient outcomes using measurement-based care, including related to depression screening, patient follow up, and symptom improvement; and ; and in subsection (h), by striking $51,878,000 for each of fiscal years 2018 through 2022 and inserting $52,877,000 for each of fiscal years 2023 through 2027 .
