Subchapter I of chapter 74 of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new section: Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Secretary may waive any limitation on pay for an employee of the Veterans Health Administration who is performing mission critical work. The Secretary shall prescribe regulations for the administration of this section. In this section, the term ‘ employee of the Veterans Health Administration includes any employee of the Veterans Health Administration, regardless of the authority under which the employee was hired. .
The table of sections at the beginning of such subchapter is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 7413 the following new item: 7414. Waiver of pay limitation for employees performing mission critical work. .
