Of the amount made available by section 4005 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 ( Public Law 117–2 )— up to $1,000,000,000, in addition to any amounts set aside pursuant to section 203(i) of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act ( 42 U.S.C. 5133(i) ), shall be available for the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities grant program to mitigate the effects of climate change; and $14,000,000 shall be transferred to the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General for oversight of the obligations of funds made available under such section 4005.
