Section 109 of title 23, United States Code, is amended— by striking subsection (c); by redesignating subsections
(d)through
(n)as subsections
(c)through (m), respectively; by striking subsection (o); by redesignating subsections
(p)through
(r)as subsections
(n)through (p), respectively; and in subsection
(n)(as so redesignated), in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking Notwithstanding subsections
(b)and (c), the Secretary may approve a project for the National Highway System and inserting Notwithstanding subsection (b), the Secretary may approve a project for the Interstate System . Section 112 of title 23, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (b)— in paragraph (2)(F), by striking (F)(F) Subparagraphs (B), (C), (D), and
(E)herein and inserting the following: Subparagraphs
(B)through
(E); and in paragraph (4)(C)(iv)(II), by striking section 109(r) and inserting section 109(p) ; and in subsection (g)(2)(B), by striking section 109(e)(2) and inserting section 109(d)(2) .
