Sec. 3154. Updates to Infrastructure Modernization Initiative

Section 3111(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018 ( Public Law 115–91 ; 50 U.S.C. 2402 note) is amended— in paragraph (2)(A)(i)(II), by striking $50,000,000 and inserting $75,000,000 ; in paragraph (3)— in the paragraph heading, by striking and inserting initial plan ; and plan required in the matter preceding subparagraph (A)— by striking 2018 and inserting 2022 ; and by striking initial ; and in paragraph (4), by striking 2024 and inserting 2023 .
Not later than March 1, 2023, and annually thereafter through 2025, the Administrator for Nuclear Security shall submit to the congressional defense committees a certification with respect to whether the updated plan required by paragraph
(3)of section 3111(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018, as amended by subsection (a), is being implemented in a manner adequate to meet the goal set forth in paragraph
(2)of that section of reducing the backlog of deferred maintenance and repair needs of the nuclear security enterprise by not less than 30 percent by 2025.
