The Secretary shall award grants to local governments and nonprofit organizations to set up programs to collect data from landlords on illegal evictions in the United States. There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary such sums as may be necessary for each of fiscal years 2020 through 2024 to provide grants under this section.
