Sec. 6. Report on enforcement of sanctions with respect to North Korea

Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and annually thereafter through 2024, the Secretary of State and the Secretary of the Treasury shall jointly submit to the appropriate congressional committees (as defined in section 5(e)) a report on sanctions-related activities and enforcement undertaken by the United States Government with respect to North Korea during the period described in subsection
(b)that includes— an assessment of activities conducted by persons in North Korea or the Government of North Korea that would require mandatory designations pursuant to the North Korea Sanctions and Policy Enhancement Act of 2016 ( 22 U.S.C. 9201 et seq. ); and sanctions-related enforcement or other sanctions-related actions undertaken by the United States Government pursuant to that Act. The period described in this subsection is— in the case of the first report required by subsection (a), the period beginning on January 1, 2021, and ending on the date on which the report is required to be submitted; and in the case of each subsequent report required by subsection (a), the one-year period preceding submission of the report.
