Section 31102(l) of title 49, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (G)(ii), by striking and at the end; by redesignating subparagraph
(H)as subparagraph (J); and by inserting after subparagraph
(G)the following: support, through the use of funds otherwise available for such purposes— the recognition, prevention, and reporting of human trafficking, including the trafficking of human beings— in a commercial motor vehicle; or by any occupant, including the operator, of a commercial motor vehicle; the detection of criminal activity or any other violation of law relating to human trafficking; and enforcement of laws relating to human trafficking; otherwise support the recognition, prevention, and reporting of human trafficking; and ; and in paragraph (3)(D)— in clause (ii), by striking and at the end; in clause (iii), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and by adding at the end the following: for the detection of, and enforcement actions taken as a result of, criminal activity (including the trafficking of human beings)— in a commercial motor vehicle; or by any occupant, including the operator, of a commercial motor vehicle; and in addition to any funds otherwise made available for the recognition, prevention, and reporting of human trafficking, to support the recognition, prevention, and reporting of human trafficking. .
