Section 142(a) of title 23, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: In addition to the projects described in paragraphs
(1)and (2), the Secretary may approve payment from sums apportioned under paragraph
(2)or
(7)of section 104(b) for carrying out a capital project for the construction of a bus rapid transit corridor or dedicated bus lanes, including the construction or installation of— traffic signaling and prioritization systems; redesigned intersections that are necessary for the establishment of a bus rapid transit corridor; on-street stations; fare collection systems; information and wayfinding systems; and depots. . Section 142 of title 23, United States Code, is amended by striking subsection (i).
