The Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the Chief of the Forest Service, and the Secretary, acting through the Director of the Office of Wildland Fire, may enter into a memorandum of agreement with the Longleaf Alliance to carry out a national prescribed fire education program, including the use of— the character known as Burner Bob ; and an anthropomorphic black-backed woodpecker character, to be known as Burner Betty . A prescribed fire education program authorized under subsection
(a)may include— public service advertisements; the use of social media; campaign and educational activities and materials; commercial licensing; character images and appearances; and awards and recognition.
