Section 1210A of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 ( Public Law 116–92 ; 133 Stat. 1626) is amended— in subsection (a), by striking for the stabilization activities of other Federal agencies specified in subsection (c)(1) and inserting to other Federal agencies specified in subsection (c)(1) for the stabilization activities of such agencies ; in subsection (b), by amending paragraph
(1)to read as follows: Amounts authorized to be provided pursuant to this section shall be available only for support for stabilization activities— in a country specified in paragraph (2); and that the Secretary of Defense, with the concurrence of the Secretary of State, has determined are in the national security interest of the United States; or in a country that— has been selected as a priority country under section 505 of the Global Fragility Act of 2019 ( 22 U.S.C. 9804 ); or is located in a region that has been selected as a priority region under section 505 of such Act; and has Department of Defense resource or personnel presence to support such activities. ; in the first sentence of subsection (c)(1), by striking Support may be provided for stabilization activities under subsection
(a)and inserting Support under subsection
(a)may be provided ; in subsection (g)(1), by striking , Defense-wide ; and in subsection (h), by striking December 31, 2021 and inserting December 31, 2023 .
