Sec. 561. Expansion of support programs for special operations forces personnel and immediate family members

Section 1788a(e) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph (4), by striking covered personnel and inserting covered individuals ; and in paragraph (5)— by striking covered personnel and inserting covered individuals ; in subparagraph (B), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (C), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: immediate family members of individuals described in subparagraphs
(A)or
(B)in a case in which such individual died— as a direct result of armed conflict; while engaged in hazardous service; in the performance of duty under conditions simulating war; or through an instrumentality of war. .
