Section 130f(d) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— by striking
(1)Except as provided in paragraph (2), in and inserting In ; by striking paragraph (2); by redesignating subparagraphs
(A)and
(B)as paragraphs
(1)and (2), respectively; in paragraph (1), as so redesignated, by striking ; or and inserting a semicolon; in paragraph (2), as so redesignated, by striking the period at the end and inserting ; or ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: an operation conducted by the armed forces to free an individual from the control of hostile foreign forces. .
