It is the sense of Congress that the United States should initiate collaboration among governments, the private sector, and civil society to encourage the adoption of the standards for quality global infrastructure development advanced by the G20 at Osaka in 2018, including with respect to the following issues: Respect for the sovereignty of countries in which infrastructure investments are made. Anti-corruption. Rule of law. Human rights and labor rights. Fiscal and debt sustainability.
Social and governance safeguards. Transparency. Environmental and energy standards. It is the sense of Congress that the United States should launch a series of fora around the world showcasing the commitment of the United States and partners of the United States to high-quality development cooperation, including with respect to the issues as described in subsection (a).
