Sec. 708. Report on the use of data and data science at the Department of State

Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report containing the results of a study regarding— the use of data in foreign policy, global issues policy analysis, and decision-making at the Department; the use of data in development, development assistance policy, and development program design and execution at the United States Agency for International Development; and the use of data in recruitment, hiring, retention, and personnel decisions at the Department, including the accuracy and use of data for comprehensive strategic workforce planning across all career and non-career hiring mechanisms.
