Section 137 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: The Secretary of Defense shall ensure that not fewer than one of the Deputy Directors for Defense Intelligence (or such successor positions) is responsible for warfighter support. An individual appointed to that position shall be a general or flag officer serving in a joint duty assignment. .
