Sec. 2877. Limitation on use of funds for closure of combat readiness training centers

None of the funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act or otherwise made available for fiscal year 2023 for the Air Force may be obligated or expended to close, or prepare to close, any combat readiness training center. The Secretary of the Air Force may waive the limitation under subsection
(a)with respect to a combat readiness training center, if the Secretary submits to the congressional defense committees each of the following: A certification that— the closure of the center would not be in violation of section 2687 of title 10, United States Code; and the support capabilities provided by the center will not be diminished as a result of the closure of the center. A report that includes— a detailed business case analysis for the closure of the center; and an assessment of the effects the closure of the center would have on unit training, including active duty units that may use the center.
