Sec. 1050. Consultation of congressional defense committees in preparation of national defense strategy

Section 113(g)(1) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— by redesignating subparagraphs
(D)through
(F)as subparagraphs
(E)through (G), respectively; and by inserting after subparagraph
(C)the following new subparagraph (D): In addressing the matters referred to in subparagraph (B)(i) and (ii), the Secretary may seek the advice and views of the congressional defense committees, through the Chair and Ranking Members of the congressional defense committees. The congressional defense committees, through the Chair and Ranking Member of the congressional defense committees, may submit their advice and views to the Secretary in writing. Any such written views shall be published as an annex to the national defense strategy. .
