Section 525 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (a)— in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking as follows: and inserting an em dash; in paragraph (4)(C), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: in the Space Force, if that appointment would result in more than— 2 officers in the grade of general; 7 officers in a grade above the grade of major general; or 6 officers in the grade of major general.”; ; in subsection (c)— in paragraph (1)(A), by striking and Marine Corps and inserting Marine Corps, and Space Force ; and in paragraph (2), by striking or Marine Corps and inserting Marine Corps, or Space Force ; and in subsection (d), by striking or Commandant of the Marine Corps and inserting Commandant of the Marine Corps, or Chief of Space Operations .
