Sec. 317. Guidance and target deadline relating to formerly used defense sites programs

The Assistant Secretary of Defense for Energy, Installations, and Environment shall issue guidance setting forth how, in prioritizing sites for activities funded under the Environmental Restoration Account, Formerly Used Defense Sites account established under section 2703(a)(5) of title 10, United States Code, the Assistant Secretary shall weigh the relative risk or other factors between Installation Restoration Program sites and Military Munitions Response Program sites. The Assistant Secretary of Defense for Energy, Installations, and Environment shall establish a target deadline for the completion of the cleanup of all Military Munitions Response Program sites.
