Section 1521 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 ( Public Law 117–81 ; 10 U.S.C. 2224 note) is amended— in subsection (a)(5), by inserting , including the use of artificial intelligence-based endpoint security that prevents cyber attacks and does not require constant internet connectivity to function, after services ; and in subsection (b), by inserting , including by enhancing the security of the software supply chain of the Department after best interests of the Department .
