The Secretary of Defense, acting through the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness and in collaboration with the Defense Suicide Prevention Office. shall establish a procedure for assessing suicide risk at military installations. Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the strategy and procedure for assessing suicide risk at military installations.
