Beginning not later than December 31, 2023, the Secretary of the Navy shall ensure there is assigned to each aircraft carrier not fewer than two military behavioral health providers and not fewer than two behavioral health technicians. In this section: The term behavioral health includes clinical psychology, social work, counseling, and related fields. The term behavioral health technician means an enlisted member of the Armed Forces who is trained to perform clinical activities in support of a licensed behavioral health provider. The term military behavioral health provider means a behavioral health provider who is a member of the Armed Forces.
