Section 526a of title 10, United States Code, as amended by section 502, is further amended— by redesignating the second subsection

(i)as subsection (j); by redesignating subsections (g), (h), (i), and

(j)as subsections (h), (i), (j), and (k), respectively; and by inserting after subsection

(f)the following new subsection: The limitations in subsection

(a)do not apply to a general or flag officer serving in the position of lead special trial counsel pursuant to an appointment under section 1044f(a)(2) of this title. .
