Section 4223 of the Atomic Energy Defense Act ( 50 U.S.C. 2538e ), as amended by section 3114, is further amended as follows: By striking the W93 nuclear weapon each place it appears and inserting a covered nuclear weapon . (d)and inserting the following new subsection (d): In this section: The term covered nuclear weapon means the following: The W93 nuclear weapon. A modified nuclear weapon. A new nuclear weapon. The term joint nuclear weapons life cycle has the meaning given that term in section 4220. The terms modified nuclear weapon and new nuclear weapon have the meaning given those terms in section 4209. . Such Act is further amended by striking the section heading for section 4223 and inserting the following (and conforming the table of contents at the beginning of such Act accordingly): .
