Section 1202(b)(7)(B) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2000 ( 10 U.S.C. 113 note) is amended— by redesignating clauses
(ii)and
(iii)as clauses
(iii)and (iv), respectively; and by inserting after clause
(i)the following: the Middle East and North Africa, especially with respect to Iran and China’s relationship with Iranian proxies such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis (“Ansar Allah”) in Yemen, the Assad regime in Syria, and Iranian-backed militias in Iraq; .
