Section 2222 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (c)(2), by striking the Chief Management Officer of the Department of Defense, the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, the Chief Information Officer, and the Chief Management Officer and inserting the Chief Information Officer of the Department of Defense, the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, and the Chief Information Officer ; in subsection (e)— in paragraph (1), by striking the Chief Management Officer and inserting the Chief Information Officer ; and in paragraph (6)— in subparagraph (A), in the matter preceding clause (i)— in the first sentence, by striking The Chief Management Officer of the Department of Defense and inserting The Chief Information Officer of the Department of Defense, in coordination with the Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer, ; and in the second sentence, by striking the Chief Management Officer shall and inserting the Chief Information Officer shall ; and in subparagraph (B), in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking The Chief Management Officer and inserting The Chief Information Officer ; in subsection (f)— in paragraph (1), in the second sentence, by striking the Chief Management Officer and ; and in paragraph (2)— by redesignating subparagraphs

(B)as subparagraphs
(B)and (C), respectively; by inserting before subparagraph (B), as redesignated by clause (i), the following new subparagraph (A): The Chief Information Officers of the military departments, or their designees. ; and in subparagraph (C), as so redesignated, by adding at the end the following new clause: The Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer of the Department of Defense. ; in subsection (g)(2), by striking the Chief Management Officer each place it appears and inserting the Chief Information Officer ; and in subsection (i)(5)(B), by striking the Chief Management Officer and inserting the Chief Information Officer .
