Section 890 of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 ( Public Law 115–232 ), as most recently amended by section 1831(j)(7) of the William M.
(Mac)Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 ( Public Law 116–238 ; 134 Stat. 4217), is further amended— in subsection (a)(2), by striking of before chapter 271 ; and in subsection (c), by striking January 2, 2023 and inserting January 2, 2024 .
