Section 731(a)(2)(A) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 ( Public Law 117–81 ; 135 Stat. 1796) is amended to read as follows: The Comptroller General of the United States shall— not later than February 1, 2023, provide to the Committees on Armed Services of the House of Representatives and the Senate a briefing on preliminary observations regarding the analyses used to support any reduction or realignment of military medical manning, including any reduction or realignment of medical billets of the military departments; and not later than May 31, 2023, submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the House of Representatives and the Senate a report on such analyses. .
