Sec. 2871. Required investments in improving child development centers

Of the total amount authorized to be appropriated for fiscal year 2023 for the Department of Defense for Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization activities of a military department, the Secretary of that military department shall reserve an amount greater than or equal to one percent of the estimated replacement cost for fiscal year 2023 of the total inventory of child development centers under the jurisdiction of that Secretary for the purpose of carrying out projects for the improvement of child development centers.
In this section, the term child development center has meaning given the term military child development center in section 1800(1) of title 10, United States Code.
