Section 2808 of the Military Construction Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2004 (division B of Public Law 108–136 ; 117 Stat. 1723), as most recently amended by section 2806 of the Military Construction Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 (division B of Public Law 117–81 ; 135 Stat. 2190), is further amended— in subsection (a)— by striking , inside the area of responsibility of the United States Central Command or certain countries in the area of responsibility of the United States Africa Command, ; by inserting outside the United States after construction project ; and in paragraph (2), by striking , unless the military installation is located in Afghanistan, for which projects using this authority may be carried out at installations deemed as supporting a long-term presence ; and in subsection (c)(1), by striking subparagraph
(A)and redesignating subparagraphs
(B)and
(C)as subparagraphs
(A)and (B), respectively. Such section is further amended— in subsection (b), by striking subsection
(f)and inserting subsection
(d); by striking subsection (e); by redesignating subsections
(f)and
(g)as subsections
(d)and (e), respectively; in subsection (e), as so redesignated, by striking subsection
(f)and inserting subsection
(d); and by striking subsections

(a)of such section is amended by striking and inserting Temporary authority . In general The Law Revision Counsel is directed to classify section 2808 of the Military Construction Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2004 (division B of Public Law 108–136 ; 117 Stat. 1723), as amended by subsection (a), as a note following section 2804 of title 10, United States Code.
