Sec. 201. Crop nutrient use and precision agriculture practice adoption assistance

During the period beginning on the date of enactment of this section and ending on September 30, 2023, the Secretary shall make payments under this section to producers— to assist in reducing the costs associated with the utilization of crop nutrients; or to adopt precision agriculture practices to address the utilization of crop nutrients or water availability. A payment to a producer under this section shall not exceed 100 percent of the costs of the activity for which the assistance is provided.
If the Secretary determines that a producer is receiving other Federal funds for the activity for which the assistance is provided, a payment to the producer under this section shall be in an amount that does not, in combination with such other funds, exceed 100 percent of the costs of such activity. There is authorized to be appropriated to carry out this section $500,000,000 for the period of fiscal years 2022 and 2023.
