Section 242 ( 29 U.S.C. 3332 ) is amended— by amending paragraph
(1)of subsection
(b)to read as follows: assistance to help States meet the requirements of section 116, including assistance to ensure that— the outcomes and other data required pursuant to that section are collected and reported in a timely and accessible manner; and such data are reported consistently across States and eligible providers and are reviewed for quality and consistency by the Department of Education; ; in subsection (c)— in paragraph (1)— by striking and at the end of subparagraph (C); in subparagraph (D), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: assistance in the dissemination or provision of information for apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs. ; and in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (F), by striking and at the end; by redesignating subparagraph
(G)as subparagraph (L); and by inserting after subparagraph
(F)the following: developing and rigorously evaluating model programs for the preparation of effective adult educators; carrying out initiatives to support the professionalization of adult education through— the creation and implementation of full-time staffing models; and improved credentials, program quality standards, and certification and accreditation requirements that States may adopt on a voluntary basis; carrying out initiatives to support the professionalization of adult education through the creation and implementation of full-time staffing models; providing professional development and technical assistance to adult educators; incorporating the principles of universal design for learning for any activity carried out under subsection (b); and .
