In this Act: The term CITES means the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (27 UST 1087; TIAS 8249). The terms country of concern , focus country , and wildlife trafficking have the meanings given those terms in section 2 of the Eliminate, Neutralize, and Disrupt Wildlife Trafficking Act of 2016 ( 16 U.S.C. 7601 ). The term shark means any species of the orders Hexanchiformes, Pristiophoriformes, Squaliformes, Squatiniformes, Heterodontiforms, Orectolobiformes, Lamniformes, and Carchariniformes. The terms import , species , take , and wildlife have the meaning given those terms in section 3 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 ( 16 U.S.C. 1532 ).
