Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Health and Human Services shall submit to Congress a report on the following: The current state of computer systems of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, including an analysis of the capabilities and deficiencies of such systems in helping to managing the operations of the programs administered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The cost, taking into account ways to lower or defray costs to the Federal Government, of each of the following:
Replacing or updating such systems identified under paragraph (1). Contractors and other third parties to solve for deficiencies in such system identified under paragraph (1).
