The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 ( Public Law 117–2 ; 135 Stat. 4) is amended by adding at the end the following: None of the funds made available under this Act or an amendment made by this Act may be used to purchase, rent, lease, or otherwise obtain any covered communications equipment or service, as defined in section 9 of the Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act of 2019 ( 47 U.S.C. 1608 ). . The table of contents in section 2 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 is amended by adding at the end the following:
