Sec. 415. Procurement by Federal Bureau of Investigation of Chinese products and services

The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation may not procure a Chinese product or service unless, before such procurement, the Counterintelligence Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation— conducts a security assessment of such product or service, including with respect to any physical or cyber vulnerabilities; and makes a recommendation to the Director regarding such proposed procurement. Not later than 30 days after the date on which the Counterintelligence Division of the Bureau conducts a security assessment under subsection (a), the Director shall submit to the congressional intelligence committees a copy of such assessment and the recommendation under paragraph
(2)of such subsection. In this section, the term Chinese product or service means a product or service provided by an entity that is owned or controlled by, or otherwise connected to, the government of China.
