In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the National Institute of Standards and Technology for fiscal year 2022, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $1,195,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2031, except that no amounts may be expended after September 30, 2031, for scientific and technical research pursuant to the National Institute of Standards and Technology Act, for artificial intelligence (including AI safety and control), cybersecurity, quantum information science and technology, biotechnology, communications technologies, advanced manufacturing, resilience to natural hazards including wildfires, greenhouse gas and other climate-related measurement, and for related administrative expenses:
Provided, That $150,000,000 shall be available for cybersecurity research and activities.
