In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Secretary of the Interior for fiscal year 2022, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $33,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2031, to establish and administer a Native American Consultation Resource Center (the authority for which shall expire on September 30, 2031) to provide training and technical assistance to support Federal consultation and coordination responsibilities relating to— the protection of the natural and cultural resources of Native Americans; land use planning and development that impacts Tribal Governments, Alaska Native Corporations, and the Native Hawaiian Community; and infrastructure projects that impact Tribal Governments, Alaska Native Corporations, and the Native Hawaiian Community.
In this section: The term Alaska Native Corporation has the meaning given the term in subsection
(m)of section 3 of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act ( 43 U.S.C. 1602(m) ). The term Native American means— an Indian (as defined in subsection
(d)of section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act ( 25 U.S.C. 5304(d) )); a Native Hawaiian (as defined in item
(10)of section 2 of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act ( 25 U.S.C. 3001(10) )); and a Native (as defined in subsection
(b)of section 3 of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act ( 43 U.S.C. 1602(b) )). The term Tribal Government means the recognized governing body of any Indian or Alaska Native tribe, band, nation, pueblo, village, community, component band, or component reservation, individually identified (including parenthetically) in the list published most recently as of the date of enactment of this paragraph pursuant to section 104 of the Federally Recognized Indian Tribe List Act of 1994 ( 25 U.S.C. 5131 ).
