1970 Section 17 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 ( 29 U.S.C. 666 ) is amended— in subsection (a)— by striking $70,000 and inserting $700,000 ; and by striking $5,000 and inserting $50,000 ; in subsection (b), by striking $7,000 and inserting $70,000 ; and in subsection (d), by striking $7,000 and inserting $70,000 . Section 16(e) of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 ( 29 U.S.C. 216(e) ) is amended— in paragraph (1)(A)— in clause (i), by striking $11,000 and inserting $132,270 ; and in clause (ii), by striking $50,000 and inserting $601,150 ; and in paragraph (2)— in the first sentence, by striking $1,100 and inserting $20,740 ; and in the second sentence, by striking $1,100 and inserting $11,620 .
Section 503(a)(1) of the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act ( 29 U.S.C. 1853(a)(1) ) is amended by striking $1,000 and inserting $25,790 . The amendments made by this section shall take effect on January 1, 2022.
