Section 454 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 ( 42 U.S.C. 17113 ) is amended— in subsection (b)(1), by inserting commercial deployment, after demonstration, ; in subsection (d)— in the heading, by inserting and commercial deployment after demonstration ; and in paragraph (3)— in the heading, by inserting and commercial deployment after demonstration ; and by inserting and commercial deployment after demonstration ; and in subsection (e)— by striking There are authorized and inserting

(A)through (E), respectively; and by adding at the end the following: There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary to carry out activities under subsection (d)(1) $1,000,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2022 through 2026 to fund the commercial deployment of technologies to achieve emissions reduction at high emitting non-power industrial facilities. .
