Sec. 20206. Program evaluation by the inspector general of the department of commerce

Not later than 4 years after the date of the enactment of this Act, and every 4 years thereafter, the Inspector General of the Department of Commerce shall conduct an audit of the Office to— evaluate the performance of the activities supported by a grant, loan, or loan guarantee under section 20204; evaluate the extent to which the requirements and criteria under this subtitle are met; and provide recommendations on any proposed changes to improve the effectiveness of the Office on meeting the mission described under section 20201(b).
There is authorized to be appropriated to the Inspector General of the Department of Commerce $5,000,000 for fiscal years 2022 through 2027, to remain available until expended, to carry out subsection (a).
