Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 ( 19 U.S.C. 2273 ) is amended by adding at the end the following: If the Secretary certifies a group of workers of a firm as eligible to apply for adjustment assistance under this chapter, a worker of a successor-in-interest to that firm shall be covered by the certification to the same extent as a worker of that firm. .
