To the extent practicable, and so long as it is appropriate and in the best interest of the child, in cases where the Office of Refugee Resettlement is responsible for the care of siblings who are unaccompanied alien children as defined in section 462(g)(2) of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (6. U.S.C. 279(g)(2)), the Director of the Office shall place the siblings— in the same facility; or with the same sponsor.
