In addition to amounts appropriated or otherwise made available elsewhere in this Act, $25,000,000 is hereby appropriated to the Department of Defense to provide transport and safe passage to a citizen or national of Afghanistan who has provided faithful and valuable service to the United States in Afghanistan and has experienced or is experiencing an ongoing serious threat as a consequence of such service, including the spouse, child, or surviving spouse or child of such a person:
Provided , That the Secretary of Defense shall coordinate with the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security in carrying out this section: Provided further , That the Secretary of Defense shall notify the Committees on Appropriations of the House of Representatives and the Senate not later than 15 days after providing such transport and safe passage.
