Sec. 1041. Congressional oversight of alternative compensatory control measures

Section 119a of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: Not later than 30 days after receiving notice of the establishment of any new program to be managed under alternative compensatory control measures, the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy shall submit to the congressional defense committees notice of such new program. Such notice shall include— the unclassified nickname assigned to the program; the designation of the program sponsor; a description of the essential information to be protected under the program; and the effective activation date and expected duration of the program.
Not later than 30 days after receiving notice of the termination of any program managed under alternative compensatory control measures, the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy shall submit to the congressional defense committees notice of such termination. Not later than 30 days after receiving an annual report on any program managed under alternative compensatory control measures, the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy shall submit to the congressional defense committees a copy of the report. .
